These are my latest find from the op shop world........................
They were in the bottom of a cane basket in the corner of the shop. This is a dying art that is getting thrown out with old clothes that don't fit anymore! They would have taken hours to create. I want to create something from them that will last.
In the mean time this is my latest creation. It's a roll-up pencil case. The red fabric is linen found in the same op shop. It's just been listed on Etsy so take a look!

excellent doilies - i'm jealous! the book 'make your own contemporary quilts' (9781844301126 (pbk) 1844301125 (pbk)) has a lovely idea for using doilies to make a patchwork quilt. particularly good idea for doilies where there are stains or holes. i'm collecting too - http://bollewangenhaptoet.blogspot.com/2007/11/doily-crisis.html
