I'm so cleaver!

For some reason my washing machine door wouldn't open this morning. It was full of clean washing....not good. So I looked in the instruction book - no help. Next step Google. BINGO! Someone else had had the same problem. Followed the instructions (slipped a library card into the side of the door to unhook the latch) Open sesame! I love a bit of DYI.
I wanted to tell you about my fantastic op-shop find today. The shop was just about to close...but they let me in. In the display cabinet there was an interesting looking box. It had come in that day. It was full of habby (my favourite stuff). I think it was an old chocolate box - it had the original paper and ribbon.....but what was inside.....lots of unfinished crochet projects, cotton and crochet hooks...
This needs finishing. I think that the pattern is...
1dc, miss 1 dc, 5 dtb into next dc, miss 1 dc, repeat.
If you think I'm correct or know any different ...please let me know

This I'm not sure about.....what do I do around the edge where the hole are?

And this is soooo cute. Ever seen one like it?

This was last weeks find....it didn't come like this though... I soaked it in Nappie San for a few days, washed it, then untangled it, good as new!
Oh and lastly...Anne gave me these cottons the other day. Her mum and G'mum were both bit crocheters. But she doesn't think she will use them. I defiantly will! Thanks Ann.

That's clever indeed! My washing machine does weird random things like that too.

I once lived with a front loader which would keep my clean clothes hostage for days on end. Now I know how to fix the problem, if I ever encounter it again!

A fabulous find. The needle case is a gem. Oh if promotional advertising was as useful now as it was back then.

Ohh, what a great find! It's like a little treasure box:-) It will be interesting to see how the crocheting project turns out, good luck with that!

I long for op shop treasures such as the ones you have found. Hope your hand is healing well.

Is it really sad to admit that Google taught me to knit?
